Messrs. Johnson Stokes & Master's reply, just received,
reads as follows:

and we are cabling back tonight that all has been arranged with
Messrs. Reiss & Company.
We received on Wednesday letters from the Texas Company of which we prepared copies for your information and, although it no longer appeare necessary to trouble you with these letters,
you may after all be interested in reading them. The copies
are enclosed.
These letters show you how right we were in suspecting
Messrs. Shewan Tomes & Co. of endeavouring to get control of
thie business to our detriment, though they well knew that it
and we are belonged to us by contract with the Texas Company;
glad to see that our New York friends have not minced matters
in making the position clear to them.

control as liquidators of the German firm of Reuter Brockelmam
